-Printing the final booklet in CYMK
-I needed to make sure I had enough time for the prints to dry
-I could print 2 colours at a time, and had 6 covers (on 3 sheets of paper) to print which with the separation meant 4 print runs of 3 A3s at a time, totalling 12 A3 2 colour print runs in total
-I needed to make sure the registration was perfect so that following layers would register, because the positives for each layer were printed on the digital photocopier which can pick the paper up differently and cause mis-registration I made a jig to make sure each of the 24 layers could be registered perfectly.
-I first digitally printed the booklet too as a reference for the layout and to check the paper stock
-First two colours down..
-Registration details....
-And third and fourth down...
-One of the machines broke with the fluro pink colour locked in the machine so I wasn't able to test how this would work alongside the red unfortunately..
Flipped side and last print run showing the third and fourth colours now waiting to dry...
-The booklet is bound using a waxed binding thread and a saddle stitch
-This is the mock up with slight mis-registration
-The final booklets will be with the perfectly CYMK registered pages and laser guillotined for a perfect edge..
