An idea to create a small zine holding local protest posters, which will sit in the main hub
Developing ideas..
-I want this project to be a means to develop and practice my layout skills and work more with InDesign to create booklets
-Place a blank sticker sheet at the back of the zine for users to create their own small protest stickers/activist statements. I won't add any information or pointers on what the stickers are for, letting the individual decide what to do with these. This will hopefully get rid of some of the predetermined biases and place the power back to the individual some more. This was thought about during the time I am writing the essay in DESM14 around the ethics of the designer and my role in trying to cut my biases so they are not passed on to the user. If any text is used, it may be something with a quirky line such as , "oh what are these doing here?!"
-In the same way, I want to keep the zine with fewer passages of text as possible too, again to give the reader the space to come to their own outcomes about each form of protest. The only information I may add, is where each image was taken
