Activism and Protest Poster Research

Updated: Sep 5, 2021

I have found a few research links around posters and visuals for protest and activism.

Ive collated them here to refer to when needed..

This below,

holds the oldest public US collection of radical posters, with over 2000 posters.

This entry reminded me a lot of Anthony Burrills work..

Very impactful..

During a recent talk from Poster House, I came across this website which has been really helpful to research through the blog posts and past exhibitions,,

US based, Center for the Study of Political Graphics

Again, I liked this impactful poster in the link below..

There is a lot of information with each post and also links to the sources of information which are very helpful to both research and fact checking/biases.

Again, lots of records here, found through a talk I went to around activism..

Right Up Our Street, Doncaster allows the local community to choose what art and culture they wish to engage with.

One of their projects, Culture Co-Operative aimed to engage people who felt lonely or disengaged because of the pandemic and to share and develop a long term co-operative to help them connect and develop their creativity.

The links with my projects will help me to develop ideas and look at ways of communication to the community.
