I've listed a few books and relevant pages relating to my project below..
Thinking Visually for Illustrators - Mark Wigan
There were some interesting uses of text and hand-lettering which could work within my projects to develop initial ideas and conversations
Also a section on collaboration which was appropriate to the project work with some names to research
The New Handmade Graphics: Beyond Digital Design - Anne Odling-Smee
Some great visuals around protest/activism, lovely overlays and uses of old font and letterpress type. Really like Kirsty Carters colour overlay prints and 4th Estate layouts and play with orientation
Guerrilla Advertising 2 - Gavin Lucas
Some really interesting and relevant uses of guerrilla advertising, crossing over to how I can use activism and community engagement for my work.
-Lets colour project, community painting projects around the world, the project was developed by Dulux. Links in with the strong community engagement and empowerment ideas within my work.
-Take the night bus project, framing club night posters with information to safely get home after the event. Links to my work and the ideas of adding information and spreading more widely available information to the local community.
-Ketchup project, great visuals reflecting the ideas in the project and reflects the alternative ways in which information can be shared.
