Ive collated several Instagram posts that have showed a form of protest or gentle protest and fit with my work. I feel like Instagram is very important in terms of gathering process research and very current artist and designer development research.
My @walterandedith account
Ive been posting this image a few times during the recent headlines in America, I feel like its very fitting and always gets people talking in the comments
@rejanedalbello has a new book, Citizen First, Designer Second about her design career and this post resonated with my project work.
@posterhousenyc a museum dedicated to showing the impact both as visual documents and historical artefacts have posted many relevant protest posters
@christopher_viii is a photojournalist, working for newspapers and magazines such as Time Mag and Vanity Fair. His recent posts and 24hr stories have been very interesting, especially the inauguration where he has press pass access right up to the The White House.
@hamiltonwoodtype posted this on Martin Luther King Jr day, ‘The time is always right to do what is right.’
@holymolyuk revisited the thank you NHS poster he had created and displayed the print in different locations, I thought this was a great reflection on what I wish to do. This poster was reprinted with profits going to the NHS and. MIND
@johnapeddler shows so much action, emotion and truth within his work. He raises money, runs a postcard swap to raise money for local charities and speaks about current events so openly and with positivity. This post, after the attack on the Capitol Building in the US said about protesting with compassion, dignity and honesty instead of violence. I felt it reflected in my work and the area in which I wish to show my proaction work.
