Tre Seals researches protest marches and the typefaces used on the various placards used. He has created a number of typefaces using the most used typeface for each movement such as the Martin font reflecting the civil rights protests.
In my work, this has inspired me to think about the words that have been most used on protest placards so that they can be precut and readily available to use in the protest pack.
Following on from the work of Tre Seals, in a recent online talk I attended with Tre, he talked about, what is special in your community and how can. you bring that into your work.
This made me think about certain typefaces that would reflect Sunderland and its local visual language. The typefaces from places such as Vaux and Joplings could be used to give local people a sense of belonging to the projects and the design work.

Dear Data, a beautiful project reflecting data through visuals. Each week a new collection of data would be collected.
To reflect information or user interaction with the projects in this way would be really nice to give the information both form and an aesthetic of its own.
