Protest Pack

The creative freedom to move type around to create your own message and then change the message, depending on the protest or event

I want to look at which words are used most in protest marches, to then make those words into set blocks to use in the protest pack

(pack will contain popular words and then moveable singular letters to customise each projects posters)

I have found a website

which I will use to work out the most frequently used words

1. Write down all the statements on protest placards in an image from a famous march

2. Input data into website above to see which words appear most often

3. Collate data to see if there are any crossovers to use as word blocks in the protest pack

A lot of the placards in this image show the graphic logo of a timer, it creates a lot of impact, branding the protest.

The placards in this image show reflections in the Extinction Rebellion placards in that they have a strong aesthetic because of the use of simliar typefaces (logo and colour in ER march placards) But in this march, instead of the same message being repeated, the placards show lots of different issues and subjects, showing solidarity through the aesthetic but pushing out lots of issues showing individuality.
