Following on from the packaging on Will Mowers Alpha Set, Ive collated a few different workshop packs I have received recently to see how I could package both the Voice Maker and any workshop packs I may make.
Hoop Club
-I received the following as a gift.
-Hoop Club is a monthly subscription service ran by Cotton Clara in which you receive a different embroidery hoop each week, designed by a different artist, designer/ embroiderer.
-The pack contained the design, pre printed on fabric to follow and all the threads and materials needed to complete the design
-There was a book with the pack which contained information on the designer that created this months design, Luci form Hand and Palm and guides on the stitches needed to complete the design
-I really like the accessibility to this and how it also promotes the designer too and gives you more information about their other work, a nice balance.
-The graphics and branding of the pack is really strong, the mustard yellow and vintage font choices really pull everything together then using small but very effective touches like the sticker on the box
Jessica Grady
-I have signed up for an Explore Colour, Pattern and Creative Recycling workshop with Jessica Grady, its a 4 week online course and you receive a kit with all the materials in to use over the 4 weeks.
-The kit is full of materials and embellishments to use, some are in packs with which week to use the certain materials and there was a lovely note on the front of the pack too.
-I don't think the design of this pack was as exciting as the Hoop Club pack, but the contents were amazing, and also this pack was more geared at delivering the materials to use in workshops rather than sold as a pack on its own.
-Both packs have gave me inspiration to think about how I wish to present any workshop materials I will produce and also the Voice Maker pack.
