This project booklet was planned from the initial concept idea of the MA project and acts as an explanatory guide to the tools, projects and structure of the whole MA project.
-It was hoped that this booklet would help to develop my InDesign skills
-At first I wanted to print this as a digital document but felt the aesthetic and process wouldn't fit the work so I decided to print it as a CMYK Riso separation
-I developed a double page spread for each small project which was my plan from the start of the MA
-I also added an intro double page spread about what the Walter and Edith hub was, on page at the end about the local protest project and a page about looking forward and the future of the projects
-This process has been really helpful to me to evaluate everything I have developed within this MA and has really helped to explain the projects and links
-The WeType font was used throughout the booklet the give a strong aesthetic throughout the booklet
-The booklet needed to be separated into CYMK but there were also spot colours on the WeType font, to get around this I needed to create 2 documents and change the WeType to cyan and yellow so these would create separations in the correct channels. the yellow was created in the second document without the cyan we type shapes so that the overlays were not compromised.
The booklet was divided into a grid system to help with alignment..
Images and text were aded in the grid system...
The font used for the type was changed...
Layout was checked/ text proof read...
The document was then set to print as a booklet, the output was changed to colour separate the layers at this point ready for Riso printing
