Workshop - Packs

Fabric/Paper Collage Workshop

Ive put together the materials for a workshop, intended to both create Walter and Edith logos, from both paper and fabric and for each participant to create a personal piece around subjects that matter to them, which may then lead on to a bigger project.

The workshop will have hand out guides, I intend to eventually do these as riso prints but for now will be digitally printing these onto coloured papers to add some interest.

-The packs contain paper samples as seen below to make collages with, these are a range of papers, tissue, card, envelopes, coloured cards, mark-making samples etc.

Some are A5 size to hold the collages and others are smaller pieces to create the collages with. I will ask participants to also collect their own materials to use to build up a bigger collection.

This is the pack for this experimental stage, as the workshops develop I will look at other ways of holding these materials. I also want to make sure the packaging that holds the materials is environmentally friendly.

There is a smaller paper bag inside which holds the loose paper samples

The fabric samples, again hold bigger and smaller pieces to both use as backing fabrics for the designs and pieces to use for cutting.

-The fabrics are a selection including cottons and felts both plain and patterned.

-Some of the fabrics have Bondaweb on the backing so that these can be easily adhered to the fabrics without the need for stitching.
