Workshop Trial - WePlay

I wanted to try out the WePlay workshop in which participants make both a paper and fabric We logo to learn the basic skills of using these materials and then create their own piece around a subject, phrase or image close to them, which tries to develop conversations and small projects.

I tried the workshop out first with Graham M and then with a group of 5 over zoom. The workshop with Graham helped me to make sure I had the right materials and check instructions and timings of the activities.

Then, moving on to the group of participants, I used sample pieces created when trying out the workshop with Graham as examples of how to use the materials..

Just waiting on images from the second prompt to come in, which was to make a paper or fabric piece on something you're interested in or passionate about..

Going forward, the workshop has helped me set out times for each activity, if the prompts need to be edited and timings for each part. I think I need to focus on the end section of creating your own message more, as this is the important part, but was happy with the first section, creating WE logos for social media output and also helping the participants learn the skill. Participants said they had really enjoyed it and it had also help them to relax and was a very therapeutic activity to do which is a real positive.
